Welcome to my page! My name is Dr. Caroline Hoggenmueller, and I am an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist practicing in Melbourne. I am passionate about women’s health and dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to my patients. My passion for women’s health began during my medical school years and has only grown since then.

My journey in obstetrics and gynaecology started with my medical degree from the Technical University of Munich Germany in 2005. Since then, I have been on a mission to provide comprehensive care to women of all ages. I take pride in staying up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and ensuring that my patients receive evidence-based information and support to make decisions that align with their individual circumstances and preferences.

My experience includes Specialist training at Mercy Hospital for Women, Ballarat Base Hospital, and Sunshine Hospital in Melbourne’s west, where I acquired extensive expertise in managing multiple regular and high-risk pregnancies and performing deliveries, including twins, for first-time mothers. I have also developed a particular interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive keyhole surgery, having gained extensive surgical experience during my training.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is collaborating with patients and offering them evidence-based information and support to make informed decisions that align with their individual circumstances and preferences.

I am a member of several professional organizations that share my passion for women’s health. These include the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery Society (AGES), and the Australian Menopause Society (AMS).

Along with my private patient commitments, I hold public appointments in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Mercy Hospital for Women and Austin Hospital. In this role, I provide training to multidisciplinary teams in the management of Obstetric emergencies. It is my belief that ongoing education and training are critical in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology to ensure the highest level of care is provided to patients.

At the core of my practice is a patient-centered approach. I believe in taking the time to get to know my patients, listening to their concerns, and working collaboratively with them to achieve the best possible health outcomes. I understand that each patient’s needs are unique, and I strive to provide individualized care to meet those needs.

In my free time, I enjoy pilates, yoga, and traveling with my family. But my passion for women’s health never takes a break, and I am always looking for ways to enhance my skills and knowledge to better serve my patients.
